Yep, NetWorker does not support this, in the currently-shipping versions of
the product.  Stay tuned :).

Sonia,
        I'm afraid that's not possible. Networker mounts the (file) volume
as read only when it is using the file device for staging. A backup would
require the device to be opened for writing (exclusive use). It can't do
both...
