Most definitely good points about the FTC, but if they let HP buy
Compaq, I'm sure they'd let Veritas purchase Legato.
As far as their tech support goes. I have to agree and disagree with
you on the quality.
I think over the past 5-6 years they have gotten vastly better than they
were. I think the update subscription price is a bit unreasonable
($8000/yr for CDs?).
I can remember when silver suppor (current Basic offering) had no call
back commitment. Yes...no commitment...meaning you could log a call,
but there was no commitment on Legato's part that you would get a call
back.
