Storage software maker Legato seeks buyer--sources

NEW YORK, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Legato Systems Inc. (NasdaqNM:LGTO - News), a
storage and back-up software maker that has long been eyed as a takeover
candidate, has put itself on the block after struggling to rebuild as its
chief rival has continued to grow, people familiar with the situation said
on Thursday.
