Hi,

I read the man pages for the save command, and if I understand
correctly, the command does update the client's online index
automatically unless you specify the -S option. But, after the save
completes, the index is not written to tape. However, this does occur
when launching save operations from the server using groups. How can you
get the save command to do this? IS there some other command to do this
from the command line?

I was running something like this from the client:

save -bpool_name -lfull file_system

and

save -bpool_name -li -t date filesystem

Thanks.

George
