Yes, file-type devices have "target sessions" just like tape devices.

The default for server parallelism and target sessions are both 4, which
will cause NetWorker to use just one drive (unless the streams are separated
onto different volumes through the use of pools.)

I am not at my surver but, I assume they have a target sessions just like

          I've got 6 "file" devices that are used for onsite backups.  It
seems
        networker likes to completely fill them up in order like tapes.  Is
        there any way to balance them or have the system spread the traffic
out?
