Hi Joel

"If I pass a list of SSIDs to nsrclone is it smart enough to figure out
which savesets reside on the same media and clone those at the same
time".

Yes. Not only that, nsrclone will clone savesets in the order that they
appear on the source tape; NetWorker records this saveset location
information in the media database.

Hey All,

Quick nsrclone question.

Server: Solaris 2.6/E450/Solstice Backup 6.1.2

If I pass a list of SSIDs to nsrclone is it smart enough to figure out
which savesets reside on the same media and clone those at the same
time, or will it clone one saveset at a time(repositioning after each
saveset). The former, theoretically, being much faster data transfer
and have less repositioning overhead. By 'pass' I mean stdin or command
line not one at a time with a loop.

I've run a couple of test clonings, but I can't really tell for certain
if it is doing one at a time and repositioning or all of them at the
same time.

Thanks,

Joel
