I loaded 6.1.3 on Friday. It was supposed to address LGTpa36541 ( the ready
for reading/writing, idle hang experienced with cloning). Unfortunately, I
had a jukebox hardware problem at the same time so the first few days have
been hard to tell.

I'm concerned about two things at this point: 1) My OS/2 clients stopped
working immediately. I know they're no longer supported by Legato, but they
worked fine at 6.1.2. And 2) I don't understand the "service mode" state
for devices. The release notes are vague on telling you how you should
respond to a drive that goes into service mode. I had several drives do
this over the weekend and I just put them in enabled mode and they drove on
fine.

Any thoughts?

It looks like it fixes a lot of tape handling problems.
Despite the .3 release number, the release notes indicate added features
or enhancements; one can now put a drive in "service mode" instead of
disabling it.

Brave is the person who installs this before the holidays...let us know.
