Terry, the question was rhetorical.

Hi Justin

As Solstice Backup is a Sun product, I believe you should look to Sun for
this.

My question is when will Sun release a patch for those who have Solstice
Backup?

Rob,

I thought it was buried somewhere in the release supplement?

For upgrades within 6.x.x I've been doing:

a. unmount all tapes from the drives
b. nsrck -L2, nsrck -L3
c. nsrim -X
d. shutdown networker
e. tar up /nsr to a tape that's been manually placed in a drive
(precaution)
f. pkgrm LGTOxxx (remove the Legato packages)
g. pkgadd , all (for the new version...need to remember some basic
things to answer the questions ..ie client name, location of software)
f. reply not to start the services after install, instead reboot (loads new
lus driver).

Basically the /nsr directory and settings are not wiped out with a pkgrm.

I, of course, could have been doing this all wrong for all these years :)

I'm having a look a the available documentation for 6.1.3 for Solaris.
Legato's site says there is a README file with patch info and install
instructions included with the product
http://www.legato.com/resources/downloads/networker.cfm but I can see none.
The only other documentation I can find are the Release Supplement and Fixed
Bug List. I'm looking for install/upgrade instructions. Am I missing
something? We are running 6.1.1 at the moment.
