We've been using ADIC Scalar1000 libraries for a couple of years now and we
have been
very happy with their reliability, speed, easy access to media, intuitive
operator panel, and glass
front doors which provide a clear view of the robotics and media. We're
using AIT-2 drives
and their reliability has been good. The latest firmware (0200) has solved
most unload issues
we were encountering. We have close to 3000 tapes and approximately 25 have
been
discarded as defective. Although these drives are supposed to be self
cleaning I recommend
purchasing some cleaning cartridges.
