Hi Pat,
TL895 has no conveyor belt to move tape to an export tray.
I assume you spoke about TL896, 6 drives, 176 Slots. TL895
is 1->7 Drives, 96 Slots and 4 Slots in I/O door.
The behaviour you described may be HW related to the jukebox,
not to the OS. I suggest you to contact your HP (aka Compaq) HW
Support folks for having a look at the jukebox,
I have also saw the behaviour with TL893/6, most of the time,
HW caused or belt pressure.
Hope that helps,
Thierry

Subject: [Networker] tru64 5.1 and tl895 library config question
After upgrading the operating system from tru64 v4 to v5, the library
has
developed a small quirk. Understanding that to perform this os upgrade,
the
library needed to be deleted and re-created due to device naming changes
within the os. The quirk is that performing a nsrjb -w -some slot will
cause the library to take the tape out of the slot, and put the tape on
the
conveyor belt, but not shift the belt moving the tape to the export
tray.
Functionality does work and has been confirmed with the standard jukebox
commands. Comparing the 4.x jukebox features definitions to the 5.x
jukebox
features definitions, there are differences, though replicating does not
seem to correct this quirk. Any ideas what to do next?
