We have just configured some SDLT 320 Drives and are
seeing a speed of around 11-14MB/s. SDLT supposely can
write at a rate of 32MB/s (with compression, of
course). I am wondering some of your guys out there
are using the same type of drives and are getting a
better rate than ours.

Our setup:

Legato Networker 6.1.2
Solaris 8
SDLT 320 Drives. (we used both /dev/rmt/Xubn and
/dev/rmt/Xcbn for compression. Anybody has a good
explanation what the difference is between ubn and
cbn?)
EMC SAN storage

Thanks!

Zaigui
