Thanks guys for responding. I have been using the scanner w/ uasm and this
works great. However, I projected that the restores will take several
months and mgmt wanted to ensure that all licensing obligations are taken
care of.

So I am hearing that no matter how long it takes me to restore, Legato does
not require a license? I understand everything will work mechanically, but
legally is my question.

Licenses are not required for recovery. Even when an unlicensed server has
used up its eval period it will still allow recoveries. I think this is
intentionally part of the design from Legato. You may run into trouble if
you need to control jukeboxes though.
