Hi all

With regards to backward compatability ....

With our experiences, we have found that the 110/220 Drives will read a DLT4
Tape formatted as 40/80Gb OK. However, it won't read DLT4 Tapes formatted as
35/70Gb.

The drives I am referring to here are external Compaq units.

Cheers,
Ryan.

Hi,

I am using the SDLT220 drives and haven t seen any problems so far. I have
tested the backward read compability of that drive too and had no problems
with that.
As Library I am using the ATL M1500, but recommandations depend on the
amount of data you have to backup. The M1500 is a modular system (see
Quantum/ATL web site for detailled information).

Have a nice day
Stefan
