Hey,

We have made som test on backing up a W2K server (with oracle) to a Networker
running on Solaris. The client backup rate average is from 360KBytes/s to
887KBytes/s. The throughput seems to improve significantly when we are backing
few large files up, the throughput raises to 5MBytes/s. The client is connected
directly to the backup server via a switch.

As a test, we tried backing up the same server with Netvaullt backup, the
server was backed up 6,9G in 15 minutes with an average throughput of
7,5MBytes/s !

Does anyone here have som experience in backing W2K server's with Networker, -
what thorughput should we be expecting when backing a W2K server up ?

Thanks.
