If you have no record of bootstrap information (bad toad!) you'll have to
try figure out what tape(s) a recent bootstrap might be on, and use
`scanner' with the `-B' option to scan tapes looking for bootstrap
records.

0) replace failed hardware, reinstall operating system if necessary
1) create partition that is mounted in the same place and in the same way
as your old "nsr" partition. For example, on our backup server /nsr is a
symlink to /var/nsr, so if I needed to do DR I would want my nsr partition
mounted on /var/nsr and /nsr should be a symlink pointing to it.

2) reinstall NetWorker, and get at least one backup device set up and
working for reads.

3) Since you don't have bootstrap info, you'll need to use scanner -B to
get bootstrap info. I've never done that with staging areas, but
hopefully it's the same as scanning a tape for bootstrap savesets.

4) Once you have the location and SSID of the bootstrap you want to
recover from, use `mmrecov' to get back your res files and the media
database.

5) shut down networker and copy your recovered res files back over the top
of the res files that were created in step #2 when you reinstalled
networker.

6) restart NetWorker with fingers crossed. If 0-5 went well, you should
now have your configuration and media database back and functional.

7) use `nsrck -L7 clientname' for each client whose index you want to
recover.

You should figure out why the PDF is giving you grief, though, as it will
likely provide useful information that I've skipped/forgotten/glossed
over.
