Hi Simon,

If you are using unix, you need to run nwrecover from the target server
(the machine where the recovery will be directed), and change the client to
the source server.

You can also recover it to backup server, use the same method - nwrecover,
or you can also use nwadmin to administer the recovery.

If you are using windows, when you run the networker user, you can select
the source and target machine by selecting directed recovery from the menu.

Don't forget to set the target server on the source server remote access
(in the client definition).

cheers - han

Can anybody help?

I'm trying to recover a mail volume to a spare directory on a different
machine.

Directed recovery seems to dump the stuff in the main volume but I need to
relocate it to a sub-directory. The options menu lets me name the
directory but it keeps coming back with the message No Such Directory -
presumably on the original machine.

Any ideas anybody???

Regards
