Re: [Networker] anyone has experience with mt command in NT?

There are three variations of this command I found out there.
One of the variations is in Spanish.
There are subtle differences with each command and they should be easy enough
to find by doing an internet search. I searched through google and found the
three.
I can send them to you if you like. Although the command included within your
\program files\nsr\bin directory should suffice. Just make sure a tape is
mounted / loaded prior to using the command.

Claudio,
"mt" is a UNIX command does basic operations directly with the tape. It
doesn't interface with NetWorker. Apparently it was ported to Windows.
It's useful in tape troubleshooting.
If you have access to a UNIX system, "man mt" will give you info on how to
use the command. A couple examples:
mt -f \\.\Tape0 fsf
spaces the tape forward one EOF mark (fsf - forward space
file)
mt -f \\.\Tape0 rewind
rewinds the tape
It won't change the default block size for a drive.

Subject: [Networker] anyone has experience with mt command in NT?
Hi guru's,
I found a very nice command in my \nsr\bin directory named "mt".
The /? function is not of much help, it tells only the very basic usage
usage: mt [-f tape] -op [count]
I've been told that this command allows a lot of wonderful functions with
tapes, but I don't know how to invoke it.
I tried on the legato website to find out any manual with no success. HAs
anyone some experience with this command? Any link where to find some docs?
I need to know if this command can modify the defalut block size of a
device.
Thanks in advance
