Laptops imply some sort of mobility, and mean that at night when you
normally run backups they are not present
we currently have a script that the user can start with a telnet like
interface to say if a incremental or a full should run.
The user can so start a backup when they are in.
We also note that due to pc-card speeds the thoughput is lower than on
desktops.
3000 is a lot estimate capacity and think about paralellism , you may
need to invest in storagenodes to make sure you meet backup windows with
full backups.
Good luck anyway, maarten

One of the problems with Java is that they swept a bit too much
of the innate complexity of life under the carpet of the libraries.
And so now they've had to replace the carpets several times.
