we have seen this problem a lot. It seems that sometimes, an hev should work
to reset the jukebox without having to power cycle it, but once the drive
gets the i/o error, networker loses track of the volume. doing nsrjb |grep
"\*" will find the slots that have volumes lost to networker. Then you can
do nsrjb -I -S(slot#) to inventory that slot. That will work unless the
tape is stuck in a drive.
are the drives scsi attached?

Hey All,

Wondering if anyone has seen this problem

Solaris 2.6/Solstice Backup(NetWorker)6.0.3
ATL P4000 and ATL3000 libraries

Wondering if anyone has ever had a problem where an entire library stops
mounting media correctly. When Solstice is getting a request for media
it attempts to mount the media, but then gets an I/O error after which
the media no longer shows up in the library(via nsrjb, or location in
mminfo). This happened for the first time over the weekend, and only
stopped after power cycling the library. I don't 'think' it is bad
media, because after the power cycle everything worked fine again.

Thanks,

Joel
