Hey Emmanuel,

If you don't want the networker box to use dns at all you would just go
into your tcpip properties, and un-configure dns there, but if an nt box
sees a hosts file, it will try to use that first for resolution. only if it
fails via the hosts file will it go out to dns. also if you're not using dns
you'd have to have entries in the hosts file for everything you want to talk
to. you definitely want to have all names for the client listed in the
"aliases" field as well.

Thank you for your answers :)
I'll try to fix the DNS problem,
I thought first that I could force the networker server to find the client
via the host file (or lmhost),
is there a way to skip the dns resolution for networker or force the use of
an host file ?

I previously modified client & server hosts file, and they could ping each
other using short or long name.
