in this case the 100 Mbit cards were disabled either in bios or in w2k and
have no ip adress binding
only the gbit cards were used for all ip traffic
we have tried to use the server network interface field in client
configuration, but with no changes of the result

You make pernamently configuration of interface. The clients make
connections to server over IP interface, you may specify (preallocate)
network card for this communication. Therefore, set your 100MBit or 1GB the
card on client Networker, exactly. This configuration you find on the
client.

Hi,
do you have any answers to your problem?
We have with two customers the same problem. Both have Gbit and 100 Mbit
Ethernet cards in there servers.
If they disable the Gbit card and use only the 100 Mbit card, all works
fine.
But i don´t know what happens to legato if Gbit is enabled.
Perhaps it will help you. If you have further information about this
problem, give me a short message.

I'm trying to back up a Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Networker v6.2.
Two of the servers just refuse to be backed up no matter what I do. I've
tried deleting and recreating the client -- no soap. I've tried
uninstalling and reinstalling the client software -- no soap there either.
I've got 40+ other Windows servers that back up without a hitch.
The error messages I get aren't any help at all either.....
