Zaigui,

Without "splitting the volume" and making the stuf more difficult
to manage, you could define (let me say) 3 times the same
client with the same Saveselt list and just let the
OS volume into a 4th one without directives.

All of the 3 first started from the same savegrp but
as difference, the directives used for each client's instance:

The first one could backup stored under directories starting from a to
h,
the seconf one i->o and the third one backuping all of the other
combinations.
Doing so, adding one new directory into the volume will be backuped
without
changind anything.

You could also script it by starting the 3 saves from the client side
specifying the (managed from server side) directives (aka not .nsr nor
nsr.dir
files) you want to use.

I already did such a think like that and it's working quite fine.

HTH,

Thierry

Thanks for the information.

So if those are directories on the same client, there
is no way to prioritize them?

I was thinking of splitting big directory into smaller
pieces but feel it is not very easily manageable to
have too many save sets...Is there a way to put two
directories in one save set?
