Just a guess, are you running iPlanet calendar server?

Icsasm may be the asm for backing up iPlanet calendar server. The .nsr is a
local directive that invokes the asm to back up the files in the directory.
The .nsr directive and icsasm would be supplied by iPlanet, not by
NetWorker.

NetWorker will look for icsasm in the same directory as the NetWorker
binaries. I think they're in /usr/sbin on Solaris.

Hope this helps,

Wes

Subject: [Networker] external ASM 'icasasm'

We are receiving the following message in the savegroup completion report
for one of our client backups:

* calendar:/opt save: external ASM `icsasm' not found or not executable
* calendar:/opt save: ignoring ASM specification for `icsasm' in
/opt/SUNWics5/cal/bin/backup/kmonke/.nsr

Can anyone tell me what the external ASM 'icsam does and where it should be
located.

The Networker server 6.1.1 is running on a Sun Enterprise 250 with Solaris
8.
The Networker client 6.1.1 is running on a Sun Enterprise 250 with Solaris
2.6
