>From a DR point of view my manager decided to setup a standard PC with a
rather large hard disk.
This machine then at set points (its just w2ksp3 server) through scheduled
tasks it robocopies the *\legato\nsr directory including the index
information to itself.
This is done daily and the pc is kept and different site.

Although it only has the last times legato information in the event of a
legato server failing we just re-install the o/s copy the legato information
across including the indexes and hey presto works everytime for those sorts
of situations.

I think the last time we had to use it it took us 40 minutes to recover our
main networker server and 20 minutes of that was copying the indexes across
because they are so big.

If anyone is interested we use windows 2000 and legato networker 6.03.

Stan

We always include a paper copy of the bootstrap and enablers with each set
of tapes that we send off-site. Whilst I appreciate that there are more
technically advanced methods, we believe that good old fashioned paper does
have its place in the scheme of things...
