When we investigated this we decided that the inability to have more than
one networker process using the same disk at the same time made it
inpractable - you couldn't clear space off the disk (to tape) whilst a
backup was in progress so a disk would have to be specced for the biggest
possible backup, however it was quicker than tape and we are hoping that
Networker 7 will have improved the situation.
