I am looking into replacing our backup gear. Our original project was to buy a 
larger tape library, then I came across an article in the Storage magazine ( 
Jun '02) by Curtis Preston that discussed disk-to-disk backups. The idea of 
having to do fast backups and restores on an inexpensive disk array sounds 
promising. 

I was wondering if any of you have implemented this scenario in production and 
how their experiences (good and bad) have been.
