Hi all,

can someone help me with this. If I start Restore command from SAP client,
Networker server says that files will be restored from backup and then
waits.
SAP log looks like this:
BR449I Restore mode: PARTIAL
BR411I Database for restore:
/oracle/R3Q/sapdata4/stabd_1/stabd.data1
/oracle/R3Q/sapdata5/stabi_1/stabi.data1
BR419I Files will be restored from backup: bdinxgds.anr 2002-07-31 22.30.24
BR416I 2 files found to restore, total size 4400.016 MB
BR424I Files will not be decompressed
BR421I Backup device type for restore: rman_util
BR280I Time stamp 2002-08-01 13.43.33
BR356I Please enter cont or stop
cont
BR257I Your reply: cont
BR290I Time stamp 2002-08-01 13.44.01
BR259I Program execution will be continued...
BR280I Time stamp 2002-08-01 13.44.02
BR551I Starting restore from normal database backup using RMAN...
BR280I Time stamp 2002-08-01 13.44.09
BR560I Restoring file /oracle/R3Q/sapdata4/stabd_1/stabd.data1 from save
set_count=2021 set_stamp=468714927 creation_time=31-JU2
BR280I Time stamp 2002-08-01 13.44.09
BR560I Restoring file /oracle/R3Q/sapdata5/stabi_1/stabi.data1 from save
set_count=2022 set_stamp=468715013 creation_time=31-JU2

Then it waits there and messages screen (on monitor tab) on Networker
administrator displays:

cet 11:14:00 server notice: started
cet 13:44:02 sap-r3q.test.si:r3qadm browsing
cet 13:44:02 sap-r3q.test.si:r3qadm browsing
(Tape status for all devices is unmounted)

It waits there until I manualy mount the tapes needed.
After I mount the tapes, restore goes on.

SAP log:

#FILE.... /oracle/R3Q/sapdata4/stabd_1/stabd.data1
#RESTORED. bdinxgds 1930/2021

..... same for second file .....

BRRESTORE terminated successfully

In Networker administrator in devices window I see:
\\.\Tape1(J) SAP-R3Q-004 1:reading, moving forward...
\\.\Tape2(J) SAP-R3Q-005 1:reading, moving forward...

And then it ends OK.

Why Networker won't mount tapes automaticaly, but must be mounted manualy?
Is this normal behavior? Did I miss something?

Thanks & Regards!

Primoz
