there are patches for networker 6.x.x Nt client and Unix servers to make
them obey the port restrictions. There is a problem with some versions of
the software for Nokia FW1. Backups that take longer than the idle timeout
on the firewall can have problems this can be avoided on a unix server by
setting the tcp keepalive timer to a value lower than the firewall idle
timeout - the above are mentioned in more detail in previous posts here.
