Seems my reply get lost somewhere ...

Recovering from CLI using recover command, use -S ssid[/cloneid]
to recover from clone tape.

Use mminfo before with -r name, ssid, cloneid to get the cloneid of the
SS you want to recover from the clone tape and then launch the
recover from CLI.

That should work without marking original tape suspect.

Hope that helps and sorry for delay.

Thierry

That's normal as long as you didn't mark the original saveset as "suspect"!

Betreff: [Networker] restoring from cloned save sets

I made some clones of previous save sets yesterday, and that process seemed
to
work correctly. However, I am now trying to restore from the clones as a
test,
and while the system initially accepted my clone volume as the proper volume
for
the requested data, it is now asking for the orginal. This is with Solstice
Backup 6.1.1 on Solaris. Any suggestions? The clone tapes are on-line, and
the
originals have been physically removed from the library.

Thanks,

Alan
