This is a common problem with file systems with millions of small files.  It
takes the NetWorker 'save' program a long time to walk the directory tree,
and perform the date comparisons for every file.  This is made even worse by
a fragmented disk.

To do a test, try running the 'save' program in a command prompt window on
the system on which you're seeing this problem.  The program, by default,
will report on every file it backs up.  See how long it takes to complete
the backup.  This may help to confirm that this is the problem.
