Hi,
on a second site (in segregate vlan) I have ricreated the state of the production on 7 August (same volumes, dump of the DB on 7 August) and I'm doing the Vfull backups.
Can I use the future VFull Volume to replace the lost one?

I checked and the Volume's name is the same, the ID of the jobs is the same...

Thank you

Hi all,

I have a 7.2 version installed.
I deleted by mistake a Volume with all the Monthly jobs.

This is my situation:

706G  3 July 21:14 P-Virtual-0005

22G 18 Aug 01:47 V-Daily-0001
21G 19 Aug 03:52 V-Daily-0003
17G 17 Aug 01:27 V-Daily-0005

30G 14 Aug 02:23 V-Weekly-0002
68G  7 Aug 03:52 V-Weekly-0005

I use a single Volume to hold all the Jobs of the same type of the same day.
The lost VFull was made on 7 August based on Weekly backup (I made the Vfull on the first Sunday on the month), and on these jobs are based all the next jobs weekly and daily.

I know that I can create a new VFull using specific Jobs, so I can recreate that VFull using the jobs in P-Virtual-0005 and V-Weekly-0005, something like

run job=server-001 alljobid=1-3,6-8 level=VirtualFull

After that I should have the same lost VFull because I used the same Jobs that are involved the lost Volums, but the DB doesn't know that I loose it, In fact the new backups are running regularly... isn't it?

My questions are:
- the Jobs that are done after the 7 of August are lost or they can find the data in this new VFull volume?
- can I creare a VFull using P-Virtual-0005 and V-Weekly-0005 and V-Weekly-0002?
- What would happen if I said to the DB to remove the deleted volume from the catalog?

Thank you
