Hi Isamar,

The volume retention is based on the last time the volume was written (with the list media output command you can see it in the LastWritten column). If you set up a retention period of 5 years for the pool, any volumes in this pool could not be written until the five years have passed since the last written time.

Question:  the volume retention is calculated based on the volume creation date or it is updated to the date when the new jobs are inserted into the volume ?
