Alex,
You CAN convert the DB, but you will have to obtain and run every
intermediate version's DB update script in order. Also, Bacula 7.0 has
just been released.
Since you're upgrading from so far back, you might be better off just
starting over with a clean DB. But keep the old one around, if you can,
until you have some data in the new one, just in case of emergencies.
If you have to do an emergency restore in the meantime, you can manually
look up the old DB to determine which volumes you need, then bscan those
volumes.
