OK, I won't bother at this point then.  THough I did just happen upon
the German manual.  I was initially hopeful (since I'm relatively
fluent in German) until I noticed that towards the bottom it was all
English - meaning that it is merely a translation of the English
manual, not a rewrite.

In any case, If I can get my head around this well enough I'll try to
write a decent beginner guide.  I'm pretty good at technical writing.
 I'll give up on this thread and get back to asking questions once
I've digested a bit more of the manual.
