Where exactly hangs the restore?

Do you have tuned your PostgreSQL installation? The default settings are 
for wide compatibility and not perfomance, see [1]. I have adjusted 
shared_buffers to 2GB and effective_cache_size to 5G and this boost the 
building directory phase of a restore greatly. Furthermore I have tuned 
the squence object arrcording to [2], but I think this isn't helpful for 
restores.
