The plugin was funded by Equiinet.
Bacula Systems wrote it.

As far as I know (I work for Equiinet and have tested the plugin), the plugin
doesn't work.

The major problem is that you cannot restore from multiple incremental backups.
See unacknowledged bacula bug number 0001647, or google mailing list archives
for something like "bacula exchange keeling".

Bacula Systems are working on a replacement plugin for their "Enterprise"
version.


Therefore, I would say that currently, the best way to backup an Exchange
server is via the usual VSS stuff. Put the path to the Program Files / Exchange
directory in your fileset.

Make sure that you test the restores before you start relying on it.
(Make sure you shut down Exchange before you restore the files).
