One of the "bad" habit of debian derivative is to transform a network backup 
system in a only localhost things.

Just check you did be catch by that, director, client and storage not pointing 
to localhost or 127.0.0.1

One days they will learn how to setup firewall rules, and so let a networking 
backup system make it's job.
