Firstly, are you running the bacula-fd as root?
If it is running as root, then which OS is it? Is it running some kind of
access control system such as SELinux? Check the system security logs
(e.g. /var/log/secure, /var/log/audit/audit.log or the SELinux
Troubleshooter).
