Hi John,

I have changed my bacula-sd.conf file like this ;

Device {
  Name = Drive-1
  Drive Index = 0
  Media Type = LTO4
  Archive Device = /dev/nst0
  Changer Device = /dev/sg5
  AutomaticMount = yes;
  AlwaysOpen = yes;
  RemovableMedia = yes;
  RandomAccess = no;
  AutoChanger = yes;
  LabelMedia = yes;
  Maximum Changer Wait = 300 seconds
  Maximum Rewind Wait = 300 seconds
  Maximum Open Wait = 300 seconds
# Alert Command = "sh -c 'tapeinfo -f %c |grep TapeAlert|cat'"
  Alert Command = "sh -c 'smartctl -H -l error %c'"
}

But still does not load the cartridge and get the same error ;

That was definitely not the correct solution. This is for limiting the
wait meaning if the tape takes too long to change this is the amount
of time to wait before giving up. You problem is its not waiting at
all.

I copied it from an example script sorry :) Could you give me the correct option please ?

What do you think about it ?

You need to add a wait in the mtx-changer script

What version of bacula are you using. I just looked at the mtx-changer
script from 3.0.3 and that is vastly different from 2.4.X which I
still use at work.

Hmm. I do not know how to do this but will look. I use bacula 3.0.1 on linux x64.
