I have Ubuntu Clients too, with the same client version: 2.4.4
for this clients the backup job works

I don't think so - I think you've made a mistake and you're accessing
the wrong client (the backup report indicates that the client is a
Debian box - it should say Win32 instead). Better check your client
definitions (specifically the client address).
