Maybe.  Maybe not.  Remember, if you're spooling attributes, the 
director and the database are sitting there more or less idle the entire 
time your data is being written to tape.  Depending on your hardware, 
etc. the idle director/database MAY represent unused processing power 
that you can take advantage of.  The only way to know for sure is to try it.
