Hi *,
I just updated from 2.2.8 to 3.0.1. Everything works fine and as
expected for now, with one exception: With each newly run job bacula
says:
... Volume "MYVOL" previously written, moving to end of data.
[...]
... Ready to append to end of Volume "MYVOL" at file=XX.
witch takes a few minutes (depending on how full the tape is).
Now, the device is configured as:
Device {
Name = DLT
Media Type = DLT-VS160
Archive Device = /dev/nst0
AutomaticMount = yes;
Always Open = yes;
RemovableMedia = yes;
RandomAccess = no;
SpoolDirectory = /var/spool/backup;
Maximum Spool Size = 4900M
}
And as far as I understand the "Always Open = yes;" should prevent
exactly this problem. Actually it used to work as expected (keeping the
volume open and not rewinding/seeking between jobs) until the update.
Is this a known problem? Are there any other options to set, which are
new to 3.0.1?
Any help would be appreciated...
cheers
sascha
