Also when I go to "run backup job" in webmin all I see is an empty table with the heading of "Backup job details". So I can't manually run a job from webmin :(

Thanks Koenraad,
For me it doesn't matter how many times I try to reload the edit page of a job, the save/delete buttons do not show (while the daemons are up). Daemons down, buttons show up. I don't get it.

Hi,
Yes, I have this also. But not always. Sometimes you have to go back and
forth some times for the buttons to appear.
Never tried stopping the services though.
