 From what I'm remembering I fixed this by adding this configuration option 
in the "Pool" definition:
   Accept Any Volume = yes             # write on any volume in the pool

I'm still searching for a solution to automatically move to a new volume at 
the beginning of the month, first Sunday (when the monthly full backup begins).
