I’ve had to remove “  Prefer Mounted Volumes = no “ in the JobsDefs resource, it introduced me what I think I’ve read it’s a bug:

18-dic 14:32 client-fd JobId 117: Fatal error: ../../filed/job.c:1811 Bad response to Append Data command. Wanted 3000 OK data
, got 3903 Error append data

Well, now I can run concurrent jobs, they are using the same drive, but I think that won’t be bad for performance, and when I am backing up jobs to differents pools (tapes), it’ll be using the two drives

Thanks

Borja

I've got some problems at using the second drive.

Why is the Client2 waiting on max Storage Jobs  , instead of using the

second drive ( it's a separate pool ! )

I 've read many post, and I think I've defined the proper resources, and

drive-2 is working with mt and mtx  . have I missed something ?

In bconsole:

*status director :

................

Running Jobs:

 JobId Level   Name                       Status

======================================================================

    94 Full    BackupClient1.2008-12-17_16.15.30 is running

    95 Increme  BackupCLlient2.2008-12-17_16.15.31 is waiting on max Storage

jobs

    96 Full    BackupClient3-12-17_16.15.32 is waiting on max Storage jobs

............

*status storage

.....

Device "Drive-1" (/dev/nst0) is mounted with:

    Volume:      000050

    Pool:        Monthly

    Media type:  SDLT-320

    Slot 1 is loaded in drive 0.

    Total Bytes=21,919,371,264 Blocks=339,771 Bytes/block=64,512

    Positioned at File=41 Block=0

Device "Drive-2" (/dev/nst1) is not open.

    Drive 1 status unknown.

.......

My config, in bacula-dir.conf,

Director {

  ..

  Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 10

  ..

}

JobDefs  {

...

  Prefer Mounted Volumes = no

...

Incremental Backup Pool = Daily

Differential Backup Pool = Daily

Full Backup Pool = Monthly

....

}

In bacula-sd.conf

Storage {

 .....

  Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 20

  .....

}

Thanks

Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 10

in the storage section of bacula-dir.conf
