Hi,

I´m facing a strange problem with bacula 2.4.3 and 2.4.2 versions. When
a backup begin and there is no label available for backup, label is not
working properly and I receive an error message. The most strange part
is that after this tentative, I can no use the drive anymor, as bacula
informs that the device is in use. The only way to reuse it is stoping
backup and starting again.

Below you can see the message I get when trying to label a tape:
Connecting to Storage daemon DLT at disbr1.iai.int:9103 ...
Sending label command for Volume "PACK2A" Slot 0 ...
3912 Failed to label Volume: ERR=block.c:1012 Read zero bytes at 0:0 on
device "DLT" (/dev/st0).

This problem is happening with 2.4.3 and 2.4.2. Any guess about this issue?

I saw in internet someone saying that the database is corrupted. I
recreate my database, but problem persists.

Thanks for any information.

Regards.

Marcelo

PS1: I´m using Postgres 8.2.11, php 5.2.6 and Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.

PS2: I have a Dell PowerVault 110T DLT unit. I runned "./btape -c
/usr/local/BACULA/etc/bacula-sd.conf /dev/st0" and finish well.
