Hi folks,

Yesterday, I added a second FC disk to my Bacula test server which altered the "Changer Device" number from /dev/sg2 to /dev/sg3. I edited bacula-sd.conf file to reflect the update, restarted the Bacula daemons and when I tried updating the slots from "bconsole", got error message saying "No slots in changer to scan."

When I ran mtx-changer command manually it works without any issues.
     # ./mtx-changer /dev/sg3 list 1 /dev/nst0 0
     2:101ADU
     3:102ADU
     4:103ADU
     5:104ADU
     1:100ADU

Looking at the mtx.log files, I noticed the "update slot" commands I issued are still pointing to /dev/sg2.

# tail /var/bacula/working/mtx.log

20081111-08:40:22 Doing barcode status from list parameter
20081111-08:40:23 The return value for list is
20081111-08:40:46 Parms: /dev/sg2 slots 0 /dev/nst0 0
20081111-08:40:46 Doing mtx -f /dev/sg2 -- to get count of slots

------------------------ end of output --------------------------------------------------

Any idea why Bacula is still insisting upon /dev/sg2?

I looked through all Bacula config files to make sure nothing else is pointing to /dev/sg2. I'm running CentOS 5.2 (64bit) with Bacula 2.4.2.

Thanks in advance.

Win
