Ah! Thanks hugely.

I used 'update' to set the recycle flag manually and that's now working.

I'll have a look at my config files and see if I can figure out what's 
going wrong; I'll post here if I can't figure it out.

Thanks so much, it's been driving my crazy recently trying to work out 
what was going on.
