I think you should.

At least for the jobs that back up the catalog and Bacula's
configuration, having bootstrap files is important if you have to
rebuild the Bacula system.
For other jobs, the bootstrap files can be convenient but are
typically not critical.

You will need much more time than necessary if you need to reconstruct
your Bacula installation.
Imagine you have 100 tapes and only have a vague idea where the most
current catalog backup is. Restoring the catalog would then require
you to bscan all tapes until you found the right one - and that might
take hours or days.
So make sure you have the corresponding bootstrap file and you can
restore much more quickly.
You can store the bootstrap file on another machine (nfs- or cifs
mounted remote filesystem, by sending it via mail, by scp'ing it, or
whatever approach you prefer).
