That depends on what you want.
If you want to disable the job only temporarily, you'd use the
'disable' command.
If you know you'll never run that job again, and won't need to restore
it at all, you can remove it from the configuration and delete its
entries from the catalog.
If you just don't want to run that job automatically, but want to keep
the data and metadata, you'd just use an empty schedule.
